Teacher Statement: My goal as a teacher is for my students to hear their own improvement every week. It is rewarding to create fun and inventive practice techniques (alongside a regular scale study and tone exercise regimen that I cater to each student’s style) that keep the student engaged and excited to practice. I encourage every student to explore different genres and styles and hope to expand their knowledge of music history, theory, and performance practice. I have connections to various performance and/or competition opportunities for all levels of playing — from brand-new beginners to advanced college-level players to casual adult amateur flutists.
