RAFA is pleased to announce an addition to our flute choir director personnel: Emma McCulloch. She has grown up through the RAFA family, studying with Pamela Nelson and Catherine LeGrand. Starting this fall, she will direct the educational ensemble the Silver Winds, a flute choir that requires no audition!
Raleigh, NC, native Emma McCulloch is a magna cum laude graduate of Campbell University, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Flute Performance. Having been active with the Raleigh Area Flute Association since the age of 9, she has competed and placed in such competitions as the RAFA Solo and Ensemble Fest, the Artist Competition, and has placed for five years in the Review and Contest. Currently, she is teaching private lessons at Neighborhood Academy of Music in Clayton, NC. In addition to her solo performance and teaching careers, she is also an active ensemble player, working as assistant director of the Campbell University Flute Ensemble and beginning her fourth year as principal chair flutist in the Sandhills Wind Symphony.
